Biography

McKenzie is broadly interested in risk and protective factors that shape familial relationships in early caregiving environments. Specifically, she aims to examine how stress, depression, and anxiety during the perinatal period and early childhood influence caregiving behaviors and contribute to children’s risk for psychopathology. Her goal is to inform prevention and intervention efforts that strengthen caregiver well-being and improve child outcomes.
